Night Noises

Night Noises
(Trish Jean)

From east to west
A staccato passage
Taking my mind
From the day
On the soft sea undertones
To the Christmas Moon
That hangs in the tree

Cold Moon
Artemis, Rona, Anningan
Moon mythology
Mingles with warrior calling
Unquenched in their own cups
Revellers seek
A late and naked sea

I hear
The heart beat
Called now by New Moon
An inner tide
Pulled to account
For the soul’s howling
For you, elixir

Travel with time
Be awakened
To the song
The night noises echo
A new story crafting
Old life, Old Man Moon
Sail home to me
