Grafton Bridges

Photography: Trish Jean

Grafton NSW, it turns out, is a great spot for photographing bridges. There is a railway viaduct extending across the city and the Clarence River that changes its form. It’s a bascule bridge, or draw bridge, with a section that raises. I also found an abandoned bridge and a stretch of the old timber rail bridge preserved beside the new cement stretch in recognition of the timber industry.
