I Wander

I Wander

(Trish Jean)

I roam to see the roads inside me
To traverse my own longings
And take pleasure in the externalities
As they meet the inner joys

I fly over the waters
Carried by the breezes
That are my own songs of being
Dancing among other tunes

I am adrift
In the stuff of images
That we touch and catch
I am uncaptured

I grind my feet in the soils
Scratch the pen on paper
I am the written me, but I am more
I wander, I return
