Above Cornucopia: Roiling Before Rain

Photography: Trish Jean

I appreciate being able to sit inside in a warm bed listening to the rain. This afternoon, when a friend and I went to wave goodbye to a visitor at Cornucopia, I noticed the sky was a roiling mass of clouds and light. I had been helping load the car up with books that friends and I have donated to Miss Ruby’s second hand book store…but I abandoned the task and grabbed the camera and started loading that up with snaps of the sky.

I fell in love with the sky when I took up running in the ocean pool back in 2010. Since I moved back to the coast last September I’m always looking at the sky. I love it when it’s cloudy. The sky cinema never disappoints, whatever it’s showing, day or night.

This is the sky above Cornucopia, before the rain.
