The sea has arrived at my street
It’s found the spine in its lay of the land
The tributaries have formed a tribute
Have given sea feet
At the end of rakish river bones
That let it stride this way
Or so the sky says.
The sea has arrived at my door
Dressed in its best shimmering
Greens, golds and blues with
A white ruffle
At a glance her dress dances
A ripple that flows and sheds
Or so the earth says.
The sea has arrived at my bed
Voiced whispers and roars precede
High tide fingers that long stretch
Her reach to tempt
It’s the siren’s call to come
Be wed with the water
Or so the wind says.
